Partnership with The Urban Chalkboard! uc-logo-5

  • Infants & Toddlers
  • Programs and rates vary

For our very youngest students, we have developed a wonderful partnership with The Urban Chalkboard – a place where parents and young children can share quality time along with stimulating & fun experiences. Using clinically tested child-development techniques with real world applications, The Urban Chalkboard’s learning studios and play café concept offer a comfortable and captivating environment formerly reserved for such cities as New York, Chicago or San Francisco.  Jr. Civic will partner with the “UC” to offer story-sharing events like “Book & Boogie” as well as special events that will coincide with our Mainstage and Jr. Civic productions.

It is a place where we know your family will feel welcome.

Once upon a time…!
Utilizing elements from all the artistic disciplines (music, visual art, literature, etc…), children explore the structure of a story, develop a deeper awareness of self through traditional acting exercises for youth, and discover new ways to express creative ideas and use their imaginations. Ultimately, listening skills develop and natural instincts emerge allowing everyone to flourish and have fun in a unique environment that simultaneously promotes social interaction and individual expression.
