THE BELLE OF AMHERST - AUDITIONS

Auditions: June 7 & 8
By appointment only

Location: Indianapolis Civic Theatre
3200 Cold Spring Road, Indianapolis IN 46222 Directions

Indianapolis Civic Theatre will conduct AUDITIONS for THE BELLE OF AMHERST on Monday & Tuesday evening, June 7 & 8 at the Theatre. Auditions will be scheduled by appointment only by contacting Michael J. Lasley, (317) 924-6770 x214 or Michael@civictheatre.org. The production will be presented on the mainstage November 5 - November 13 and to area schools for 6 weekday morning performances November 2-4 and November 9-11. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin October 20. The show calls for one woman for the passionate role of poet Emily Dickinson. An honorarium will be offered for the school matinee performances. Auditioning actors will be asked to read from the script.

In the critically-acclaimed THE BELLE OF AMHERST, William Luce draws on the poems, letters and first hand accounts of Emily Dickinson to sculpt a one-woman play that is an inspiring, poignant and truthful biography of one of America’s greatest literary women. Civic Artistic Director Robert J. Sorbera will direct the show.
